So, why the company name
Nature Inspired Handcrafts?
First of all we all love nature and our studio
located on the 8 acres in Michigan farm country
provides plenty of it.
Along with our own vegetable garden we have
several acres of woodlands which is currently
home to a mother deer and her two fawns,
woodchucks, and numerous other animals. The deer
tend to visit the back yard every few days which
provides some spectacular photo opportunities.
Our bird sanctuary provides a place
for us to relax and many of the feeders there are
not only handcrafted but feed such feathered
friends as woodpeckers, blue jays, nuthatches,
hummingbirds, and goldfinches to name a few.
A second reason for the name is the majority of
our products are inspired by or made from natural
materials. Hand painted candle holders sport
pictures of deer, flowers, and other things found
in nature. Jewelry is made from precious metals
but may also include stones polished here in the
studio, shells, or gem stones.
